Dog Licensing

Dogs that are four (4) months or older are required to be licensed by the City. Dog license tags go on sale annually on January 1st and expire on December 31st of each year: however, dogs newly acquired during the year need to be licensed within ten (10) days of acquisition. Only two (2) dogs per residence are permitted in St. George. Temporary-resident dogs with current license tags issued by another city or county do not need a St. George license. Owners of unlicensed dogs are subject to citation and a fine. Fees, per dog, are $10.00 if spayed or neutered, and $20.00 if not spayed or neutered. Renewals of tags are required by February 28th. A $5.00 late fee per month, per dog is charged after Feb 28th (maximum $20.00 per dog).
