Saturday, November 2, 2019
The Snow Canyon Half Marathon has been named one of the "Big 5: Utah's Best Destination Races" by the 2018 Outdoor Sports Guide and as one of North America's Best Half Marathons by Runner's World Magazine.
This Half Marathon is a beautiful route through the scenic landscape of Snow Canyon State Park. The course is USATF certified primarily downhill, super fast and challenging! It is one of the most breathtaking courses St. George has to offer! 5K runners will start at Snow Canyon High School and run on the surrounding trails that finish on the High School track. Move It! Kids events will take place on the track and the surrounding areas of the High School.
Kids Race Distances: 1 Mile, 1/2 Mile, 200 Meter Dash
Please be aware that the road through Snow Canyon State Park will be closed from 8:00 am to 11:00 am due to the race. No cars will be allowed in or out of the park until the road reopens.

Competitive Walking Division:
The 2018 Snow Canyon Half Marathon will be the first time in which we'll offer a competitive walking division. We're excited to host this new category at this already outstanding event. For more information on race walking and power walking, please click here or here. Races walkers and power walkers are welcome to compete in the 5K, but we are only offering a special walking division (with awards) for the half marathon. We will have staff on the course to make sure our competitive walkers and actually walking and not running, so follow the honor system and stay walking or you will be caught! Please note that there will be a 3.5-hour time limit for all division's including this division (in correlation with the 3.5-hour time limit for the half marathon), so we recommend that casual walkers not sign up for this division.
