The "Juniors" (Plumeria) class (ages 4-13) presents an easy and fun introduction in Polynesian dance. Learn basic Tahitian steps, terminology, rhythm and timing. Children learn coordination practiced and developed through creative movement and music.  In a supportive environment, the instructor uses games and songs to encourage teamwork, teach basic steps, balance and showmanship. 

Class attire will be a black shirt and sarong for the girls and a black shirt and black shorts for the boys. 

 

 

The "Seniors" class (ages 14 and up) is a cardio class designed to teach the basic fundamentals of Tahitian Dance while learning rhythm and timing!

The Tahitian Drumming class (ages 6 and up) will focus on rhythm, technique, & stamina. Taught by award-winning teacher, choreographer, and drummer -- Alex Tekruio will introduce students to the different instruments used in Tahutian drumming such as toere, tari paru, faatere, and pahu tupai. Each student will be assigned a different instrument, work on personal and class goals, and participate in our End-of-Year production. This class is designed for beginner/intermediate drummers only.

*The Polynesian Dance Free Lunch Discount applies. First child full price ($25). Each child after that is 50% off ($12.50). Must present documentation from the Washington County School District.
