St. George Outdoors has teamed up with professional BMX and mountain bike rider, Jordy Scott, to bring you:

SGO Mountain Bike Skills Development!

Who is Jordy Scott?

Hi!  My name is Jordy Scott. I'm a professional female mountain biker and full time college student at Dixie State with a love for all things bikes. Sharing my love through teaching has always been a passion of mine. Having the opportunity to show future cyclist and current riders the skills they need to improve as a rider brings me joy.  I am so excited to share this with the St. George community.

Cycling has always been a part of my life.  Starting at the age of 5 I began racing BMX.  During my career I won 3 World Championships and multiple National Championships as an amateur.  At the age of 16 I made the switch to mountain biking in order to take my professional career in cycling further.  Since then I have won multiple world class events, making countless friends and memories along the way. These experiences have allowed me to gather a unique outlook on cycling that I look forward to sharing with riders in Southern Utah.

The Beginner Fundamentals Class...

This class is for riders who are interested in biking and want to learn to have more fun on their bike. This is a great class for riders who have never been to the bike park before who might feel intimidated by the features. It will focus on proper body and pedal position, standing up on the bike, and tackling obstacles in all areas of the park.

Intermediate Skills Class...

This class is for riders who feel comfortable riding terrain at the bike park, but would like to improve their skills to be more confident on their bike. This is a great class for highschool mountain bike athletes who want to improve their skills on the trails. This class will focus on mountain bike specific skills like pumping, cornering, jumping, manualing, and drops.

Expert Tricks Class...

This class is for riders who feel like they want to push their limits on their bikes and get more out of the features at the bike park. If your rider complains that the bike park is too easy, this class is likely a good fit for them. It will focus on hitting the largest lines available at the bike park and learning tricks such as one-handers, t-boggans, can-cans, and anything else a rider might want to try.
