In the Family Discovery Center, for each exhibit, we feature multi-disciplinary, hands-on learning activities that expand upon the concepts featured in the art and increase the child's awareness and thought processes of that art.
"Researchers tell us that getting an early start in the arts can make a real difference in the lives of children. The benefits of early arts education extend way beyond providing a creative outlet. Involvement in the creative arts can help develop imagination, cognitive skills, problem solving, fine motor skills, social skills, and a host of other benefits. Art education can play a major role in a child's academic and social development."
Spend some quality time with your children or grandchildren at the St. George Art Museum by visiting the exhibits and talking about them with the kids. Then create your own exhibit related artworks together in the Family Discovery Center."

The ReUse center provides a public service by accepting concrete and asphalt rubble from citizens as well as selling compost. The center saves the city nearly $100,000 per year with its operation. The Streets Division disposes of nearly 10,000 tons of asphalt and concrete rubble every year. Rather than hauling it to the landfill and paying to dispose of it, the division crushes the material into road base and reuses it for construction and maintenance purposes. Approximately 6,000 tons of green waste is also collected every year and composted in cooperation with the Washington County Solid Waste District. Over 400 tons of compost is sold at the Reuse Center annually.

Question: How can I confirm/check my race entry?
Answer: You should have received an email confirming your race entry. If you did not or if you can not find the email, you can confirm your entry yourself by going to https://secure.getmeregistered.com/confirm.php#top and searching your name. If you don't see your name, you either searched the wrong name or aren't registered. The search bar will search exactly what is typed, so if you did misspell something (either in the search or during registration) it will not show up.
