...l “Bike with Pike” event is coming up on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Confluence Trailhead by the Dixie Center at 5:30 pm. “Bike with Pike” is family friendly bike ride with Mayor Pike, members of the St. George City Council, St. George Active Transportation Committee and Southern Utah Bicycle Alliance. The event features a free hotdog BBQ, music, bike rodeo and a ride with Mayor Pike along a section of the City’s trail system.   Recently, new way-finding signage has been erected along sections of the Virgin River Trail system to help residents and visitors know where trails lead and how long they can except to get to specific destinations. Mayor Pike together with members of the Southwest Utah Public Health Department who helped to fund the new signs, will give the public a preview of the signs and briefly explain the plan to use them on trails as well as along bike lanes on city streets. This is a great opportunity to bring the whole family and their bikes as we celebrate one of the many reasons why we love our great community! Question: How do I expunge my record?
Answer: You can obtain an expungement packet from the Washington County Justice Court for all cases that were handled in our Court only. Please contact the Court for the packet or visit the Expungement Info section. It includes instructions and three forms that will need to be filled out by the appropriate parties. There is a total fee of $165 that will need to be paid to the Court. If the charge being expunged was originally dismissed there is no fee. Please be aware of the following time frames: Dismissals: 30 days from Closing date of the case. You may begin expungement proceedings, but the charge won't be expunged until 30 days have run from the date of closing. On most other cases, you must wait three (3) years from the case closing date with the EXCEPTION of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs and Alcohol Related Reckless convictions. The time period on those types of charges are ten (10) years from the closing date of the case. If you have any other questions regarding expungements, please contact the Court.
