In November 2015, City Manager Gary Esplin amended the 2015-16 Fiscal Year budget to increase funding for a new fire truck from $675,000 already approved for a pumper, to $975,675 to upgrade to a pumper/ladder combination truck (also known as a quint).  In December 2015, the City Council approved an agreement between the City of St. George and Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wisconsin for the amount of $972,583 to provide the new fire apparatus.

Below are photos chronicling the construction of this new fire apparatus. The new apparatus was delivered to the St. George Fire Department in January 2017.
