Residents and visitors alike are served by the City's outstanding park system. The diverse mix of neighborhood parks, community parks, sport facilities and other provide a wide range of activities.

The planning, design, and construction of parks and other recreational facilities, is overseen by the Park Planning Division. For information on future parks and facilities visit Park Planning.

Maintenance of parks, landscape right of ways, and city building grounds is overseen by the Park Maintenance Division. For problems, concerns, or information contact the Parks Division at parks@sgcity.org.

Parks are open from sunrise to 10pm. Refer to Park Ordinance Title 7, Chapter 3.

  1. All fees will be collected at the time of the reservation.
  2. No refunds less than 7 days in advance.
  3. Reservations will not be made less than 7 days in advance.
  4. Reservations will not be made more than one calendar year away. 

 

 

PRICING INFORMATION

Reservation Fees are assessed in 4 hour time blocks (7a-11a, 12p-4p, 5p-9p) and are based on the size and type of event.  Please contact our office to confirm availability and exact fee.

Standard Fees:

$50 per block – for 1-100 people

$100 per block – for 101-200 people

$400 per day – over 200 people (must also obtain a Special Event Permit)

NOTE:  Certain events require a Special Event Permit in addition to your park reservation.

A special event is typically a one-time event such as a sports tournament, concert, walk or run in a park/trail. A square (park) reservation AND a Special Event Permit are required to hold this type of event in a park or on a trail. To have a special event you must first make the park or trail reservation and then contact Emilie Pinkelman at (435) 627-4712 to obtain the Special Event Permit.
