Our Youth Mountain Bike Programs are designed with a focus on teaching and coaching, while providing challenges that fit each rider and their ability level.  The multiple class levels allow entry level riders to progress through the different levels as they gain different skills and increase their confidence riding, while seasoned riders can enjoy the challenges of our level 2 and 3 classes. SGO's staff have years of experience both riding and teaching with ample amounts of passion for what they do!

We ride an extensive amount of different trails in the St. George area.  Before a month long course begins, instructors will select 4 different trails that they will be riding for each class, which is dependent on what level your child is enrolled in.  This system allows each class to be unique and different, while exposing our riders to different terrain and riding styles that are within their ability level.

Each class will start and end at the Rec Center.  For the first class of each session, please plan on showing up 15 minutes early.

We do our best to work with the school schedule to make sure we avoid scheduling classes during larger periods of time off.  We want our families to have the option to still sign up for our courses and not miss out on a chance to travel or have their child miss a class because of travel. During the months that our courses are 3 weeks instead of 4, we have adjusted the price.

SGO will do our best to work with our students to meet their needs. This will occasionally result in situations were the behavioral needs of a student exceed what we are capable of offering.  These situations often result in increased and unnecessary safety risks, a level of supervision we cannot provide, and a dramatic shift in the ability to run our programs.  If the behavioral issues are minor our staff will work directly with the student to identify the boundaries and expectations to participate, while clearly laying out the consequences for not doing so.  If these issues continue we will reach out to the family letting them know of the situation and outlining what needs to change for the student to remain in our program.  Failure to meet the discussed boundaries will result in immediate removal from the program.  This could range from the child being able to finish the class that day and then not being able to return in the future, up to the parent needing to immediately come and pick them up from our location during class.

In the case of behaviors or actions that are an immediate safety risk to themselves or other students, your child will be immediately removed from the program and will be unable to participate in the future.  Removal from a program because of behavioral issues will not result in a refund or credit to your rec center account.
