Notice is hereby given that the St George City Council will hold public hearings on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 5:00 PM to consider the following requests:

A. Consider approval of an amended final subdivision plat for Green Valley Subdivision No. 5 by subdividing Lots 13 & 14 into two lots each for a total of four lots.  No easements are affected with this amendment.
Interested persons are encouraged to present their views in writing to the City Council prior to the meeting for this public hearing, held in the Council Chambers - City Hall at 175 East and 200 North.  
Pursuant to the Executive Order issued by Governor Gary Herbert on March 18, 2020 regarding Electronic Public Meetings, please be advised that the St. George City Council meeting this meeting might be held electronically.  The meeting will be broadcast via Zoom. Instructions for participation are listed below.
An anchor location will be located at the St. George City Hall Council Chambers located at 175 E 200 N, St. George Utah.  Due to recommendations from the State of Utah and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, electronic attendance/participation is strongly encouraged as space at the anchor location will be limited. 
Please contact Christina Fernandez at (435) 627-4003 with any questions regarding electronic participation in the council meeting and to see if the meeting will be held in the council chambers at City Hall or broadcast via Zoom if you are interested in attending.

Reasonable Accommodation:  The City of St. George will make efforts to provide reasonable accommodations to disabled members of the public in accessing City programs.  Please contact the City Human Resources Office, 627-4671, at least 24 hours in advance if you have special needs.
Using Zoom to Participate in Public Meetings, as of April 2, 2020.
During this time when the City of St. George is holding public meetings electronically, all City Council and Planning Commission Meetings will take place over the Zoom platform. The link and instructions for attendees, applicants, and representatives of the applicant to join the Zoom meeting will be included in the public meeting notices.
There are two ways to join a public meeting using Zoom:
1) Follow the instructions on the public notice or the city website on a mobile device or desktop to enter the meeting online. The Zoom Group Chat should be reserved for persons who wish to speak at a public hearing and are recognized by the person conducting the meeting. Remember that this is a public record. If your device does not have a microphone and you wish to participate in a public hearing, use option 2.
2) To join by phone, call any of the phone numbers provided and enter the meeting number after the prompt.
By default, all microphones, webcams, and cameras will be turned off, except for the mayor, city council members, planning commissioners, city staff, and persons recognized to speak. Attendees can request to speak on agenda items three ways:
1) For users attending in the Zoom app, type in the Zoom Group Chat box that they wish to speak on a specific item. City staff members will coordinate with those attendees through chat and their microphones and webcams will be enabled when they are recognized to speak.
2) When items are open to public discussion, the Mayor or planning commissioner will ask for anybody wishing to participate to please raise their hands. On a phone call, you raise your hand by entering *9 on the keypad. In the Zoom meeting, this can be done by clicking on the “Raise Hand” icon in the Zoom app, pressing Alt-Y on Windows, or pressing Option-Y on MacOS. After the public discussion is closed, city staff will lower all hands.
