OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE,

WASHINGTON COUNTY, UTAH

 

Public Notice

 

Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of St. George, Washington County, Utah, will hold a regular meeting in the City Council Chambers, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, on Thursday, August 17, 2017 commencing at 5:00 p.m.

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1. CONSENT CALENDAR - Nothing scheduled

 

2. BID OPENINGS

 

A. Consider approval of a reimbursement agreement with the Washington County Flood Control Authority for the Spring Erosion Protection project and other miscellaneous projects on the Santa Clara River.

 

B. Consider approval of a reimbursement agreement with the Washington County Flood Control Authority for the Virgin River - Bloomington North area project.

 

C. Consider approval to purchase power controls upgrade from GE Packaged Power, Inc.

 

D. Consider approval to purchase a light structure from Musco Corporation for the Fields at Little Valley volleyball courts.

 

E. Consider approval to purchase playground equipment and shade from Landscape Structures, Inc. for Vernon Worthen Park.

 

F. Consider award of bid for the rental of four hundred seventy-eight (478) portable toilets and thirty-four (34) dumpsters for the St. George Marathon.

 

G. Consider award of bid for a new pavilion at Vernon Worthen Park.

 

H. Consider approval of a professional services agreement with Project Engineering Consultants for the Crimson Ridge Neighborhood Park.

 

I. Consider approval of a professional services agreement with Sunrise Engineering for the Curly Hollow Community Park.

 

J. Consider approval to purchase five (5) vehicles for the Police Department.

 

K. Consider approval to purchase Cisco VoIP phones.





3. PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

A. Public hearing to consider changing the zone from Manufacturing (M-1) to Manufacturing - Commercial (M-C) on approximately 2.60 acres located at 2938 East Panther Way (750 North Street).  Smith Payne Investments, applicant.

 

B. Public hearing to consider amending the Boulder Creek Crossing commercial subdivision to develop a fast food restaurant on lot 7 at approximately 1455 South River Road.  Matthew Blackburn, applicant.

 

C. Public hearing to consider amending the final plat for Rivers Edge at Sunbrook and to vacate the public utilities and drainage easement located at the rear of lot 25 and to create a new public utilities and drainage easement on a new lot line.  Bert Cherry, applicant.

 

D. Public hearing to consider amending the final plat for Bloomington Country Club No. 10 Subdivision (lot 1) and Bloomington Country Club No. 11 Subdivision (lots 34 and 35) and to vacate the public utilities and drainage  easement between lots 1 and 34 as well as lots 34 and 35. Darcy Stewart, applicant.

 

E. Public hearing to consider amending the final plat for The Knolls at Little Valley Phase 2 and to vacate a small portion of the public utilities and drainage easement and dedicate a new easement to match the location of a new lot line.  Randy Swanson, applicant.

 

4. ORDINANCES

A. Report from the Planning Commission meeting held on August 8, 2017.

 

B. Consider approval of a conditional use permit to construct the Indian Hills Sub Station at 501 West Indian Hills.  City of St. George, applicant.

 

C. Consider approval of a conditional use permit for a building redesign request to construct a four (4) story hotel that exceeds the allowable maximum building height of thirty-five (35) feet on property located at approximately 200 East Sunland Drive.  Bush and Gudgell, applicant.

 

D. Consider approval of an access agreement with Saunders Outdoor Advertising, Inc. to allow them access to their billboard to perform maintenance.

 

E. Consider approval of the St. George Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Policy Statement and Utah Unified Certification Program (UUCP) letter.

 

F. Consider approval of Amendment Number 2 to the St. George Musical Theater Lease Agreement for the use of the Opera House.

 

G. Consider approval of extending the lease of office space in the Drug Task Force Office at the City Commons Building to the Drug Enforcement Agency.

 

H. Appointments to boards and commissions of the City.
