OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE,

WASHINGTON COUNTY, UTAH

Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of St. George, Washington County, Utah, will hold a regular meeting in the City Council Chambers, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, on Thursday, August 3, 2017 commencing at 5:00 p.m.

A. Comments from the public.

 

2. BID OPENINGS

 

A. Consider award of bid for the construction and installation of a traffic signal at Foremaster Drive and Five Sisters Drive.

 

B. Consider approval of the purchase of four (4) mowers for the Golf Division.

 

C. Consider award of bid for the Vernon Worthen Park Redesign Phase 1 project.

 

D. Consider approval of a professional services agreement for the Sunset Park Phase 2 project.

 

E. Consider approval to purchase one hundred fifteen (115) rifles for the Police Department.

 

F. Consider approval to purchase a new backhoe-loader for the Leisure Services Department.

 

G. Consider approval to purchase polymer for solids processing at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

 

H. Consider approval to purchase ten (10) self contained breathing apparatuses for the Fire Department.

A. Public hearing to consider amending the PD-C zone for The Fields at Mall Drive to develop a professional building for Riverside Dental.  David R. Stevens, applicant.  

B. Public hearing to consider amending the General Plan from Medium Density Residential and Low Density Residential to Commercial on approximately 4.23 acres and to ‘clean up’ the General Plan from Medium Density Residential and Low Density Residential to Industrial on approximately 4.29 acres located north of the existing Sunroc Block Plant.  DSG Holdings, LLC, applicant.

C. Public hearing to consider amending the General Plan from Professional Office and Low Density Residential to High Density Residential on approximately 7.91 acres located in the vicinity of Valley View Drive and Sunset Boulevard.  Dave Nasal, applicant.

D. Public hearing to consider amending the General Plan from Low Density Residential to Commercial on approximately 2.63 acres located on Pioneer Road, west of the I-15 Freeway.  Devin Sullivan, S&S Homes, applicant.

4. ORDINANCES

A. CONSIDERATION FOR ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE, UTAH, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF NOT MORE THAN $9,600,000 AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF EXCISE TAX REVENUE AND REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2017, RELATED MATTERS.

6. STAFF REPORTS

A. Consider approval of a local consent for a Class B license, beer service only restaurant, for Angelica’s Mexican Grill located at 101 East St. George Boulevard.  Jack Lancaster, applicant.

 

B. Consider approval to sponsor the Oil Painters of America 2017 Western Regional Exhibit including the waiver of fees, signage on St. George Boulevard and Bluff Street, and use of the City’s website and digital boards for advertising.  Bobbi Wan-kier, applicant.

 

C. Report from the Planning Commission meeting held on July 25, 2017.

 

D. Consider approval of the donation of a 3-D map to the City. Dr. Taj Becker, applicant.
