NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL

 OF THE CITY OF ST. GEORGE,

WASHINGTON COUNTY, UTAH

 

Public Notice

 

Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of St. George, Washington County, Utah, will hold a regular meeting in the City Council Chambers, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, on Thursday, July 6, 2017 commencing at 5:00 p.m.

 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1.         CONSENT CALENDAR

           

A.  Public Comment

 

B.  Consider approval of the financial report for May 31, 2017.

                                   

2.         BID OPENINGS

 

A.  Consider award of contract for design of a storm drain in the vicinity of 100 West and 200 South/300 South.

 

B.  Consider ratification of awarded bid for the airport runway patches project.

 

C.  Consider award of contract for construction materials tests services for the Bloomington

      Drive Road resurfacing project.

                       

3.         PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

A.   Public hearing to consider an ordinance and zone change from A-1 to RE-12.4 on approximately 24 acres.  The location is  at approximately 2240 East 3670 South (in the Little Valley area) for “Fieldstone Phase 5 and 6”. 

 

B.   Public hearing to consider a zone change amendment to develop a C-Store, covered fueling, a car wash, and a 50 ft. flag pole in the PD-C zone on approximately 1.5 acres for “Terrible Herbst”.  Located at the Northeast corner of the intersection of Sun River Parkway and Pioneer Road.

 

C.   Public hearing to consider an ordinance and zone change from A-1 to R-1-8 on approximately 2.02 acres.  The location is at approximately 3425 East 3230 South (in the Little Valley area) for “Elmswood Estates Phase 5”. 

 

D.   Public hearing to consider an ordinance and zone change from A-1 to R-1-8 on 20.71 acres for the “Arbors Phase 6”.  Located at approximately 3040 East 2890 South.

 

4.         ORDINANCES

 

A.  Consider approval of an ordinance amending the city zoning map by changing the zone from A-1 (Agricultural) to RE-12.5 (Residential Estate 12,500 sq. ft. minimum lot size) on approximately 23.93 acres.

 

B.   Consider approval on an ordinance amending the city zoning map my amending the existing PD-C (Planned Development Commercial) zone on approximately 1.50 acres, to approve development of a “Terrible Herbst” C-Store, with fuel stations, a car wash, and a 50 foot flagpole.

 

C.   Consider approval of an ordinance amending the city zoning map by changing the zone from A-1 (Agricultural) to R-1-8 (Single Family Residential 8,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) on approximately 2.92 acres.

 

D.   Consider approval of an ordinance amending the city zoning map by changing the zone from A-1 (Agricultural) to R-1-8 (Single Family Residential 8,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) on approximately 20.71 acres.

 

                       

5.         RESOLUTIONS        

 

A.   Consider approval of a resolution adopting the Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan.

A.   Consider approval of a local consent for a request for a Class A Beer License for Smith’s

C.   Consider approval of a Use Agreement with Dixie State University for the use of property at the old airport for an invention with wind turbines.  Wayne Provost, applicant.

 

D.   Report from Planning Commission meeting held on June 27, 2017.

 

E.   Consider a CUP for an accessory structure to exceed 15’ in height.  Dam Paulsen, applicant.
