Public Notice



PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Notice is hereby given that the St. George City Council will hold public hearings on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 5:30 PM to consider the following:

 

A.      Consider a zone change request to amend the PD-C (Planned Development Commercial) zone to add a 1-story, 27 ft. high, approx. 3,915 square foot ‘Mountain America Credit Union’ (MACU) office building.  The property is located at approximately the southwest corner of 3000 East and Mall Drive. The property is Lot 1 of the Fields at Mall Drive commercial subdivision on 1.32 acres. 

 

B.      Consider a zone change request to rezone 0.76 acres from RE-37.5 (Residential Estate 37,500 sq. ft.) to R-1-10 (Single Family Residential 10,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size).  The property is Lot 97 of the Bloomington Ranches Subdivision No. 3 (APN SG-BR-3-97) and is located on the corner of Del Mar Drive and Damascus Drive. 

 

C.      Consider a zone change request to rezone 0.877 acres from R-1-10 (Single Family Residential 10,000 s.f. lot sizes) to R-1-8 (Single Family Residential 8,000 s.f. lot sizes).  The property is located east of the intersection of Marietta Drive and Maple Mountain Drive. 

 

D.      Consider an amendment to the City’s overall General Plan to adopt an Active Transportation Plan which will improve upon the city’s promotion of healthy walking and bicycling by proposing policies, standards, programs, and infrastructure that will create a more cohesive walking and bicycling network that is comfortable for people of all ages and abilities to walk or ride a bike to school or work, shop, visit friends, or exercise.

 

Interested persons are encouraged to attend these public hearings to be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 175 East and 200 North, or present their views in writing at least one day prior to the meeting.
