Recreation Center Remodel

Sealed bids will be received for the construction of the Recreation Center Remodel 2015, located at 285 S 400 E St. George, Utah. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope by 12:00 PM, MST, 4/2/2015 to the City of St. George, Purchasing Department, Attn: Connie Hood, CPPO, Purchasing Manager, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, 84770. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in the City Council Chambers. Each sealed envelope containing a BID must be plainly marked on the outside BID #15-0005 and Recreation Center Remodel 2015.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit 285 S 400 E St. George UT, 84770 on 3/26/2015 at 2:00 PM, MST. Technical questions regarding the Bidding Documents shall be directed to Kim Campbell, Campbell & Associates Architects at or (435) 628-5969 The BID includes the following: Removal of existing carpeting in the construction area, replacing carpeting in the construction area, demolition and removal of existing control center, demolition and removal of cinder block walls, demolition of ceiling in the control area and administrative offices, removal of lighting fixtures, shoring up of walls and ceilings, adding counters, access control gates, modifying HVAC ductwork, adding wall finishes and painting adding an exterior exit and concrete work.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Citys website: ( or from Campbell & Associates Architecture, 46N200 E St. George, Utah 84770. Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents will be available on the Website, however Addenda will only be provided or sent to plan holders that are on the plan holders list. Contractors will need to call (435) 627-4800 to be placed on the plan holders list. If you would like a copy of the Contract Documents a printed set may be obtained for $40.00 per set or $25.00 per electronic set on Compact Disc. Make checks payable to Campbell & Associates Architecture.

The 100% performance labor and materials bond will be required on this project. Every BID shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, naming the City of St. George as oblige, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George.

As required by St. George City Code 1-10B-14 a signed certificate of legal work status for the Bidder must accompany the BID.

City of St. George reserves the right to reject any, or all bids, or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid, in the interest of the City.
