PRESENTATION FROM POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Police Chief Marlon Stratton presented a power point presentation covering the following topics: department mission, Dispatch, staff, department structure, Patrol, Administrative Services, Investigations, Special Enforcement, Animal Control, training, and partnerships.

PRESENTATION FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT:

Public Works Director Larry Bulloch updated the City Council on accomplishments of his department, including 12 capital projects. He advised his department is meeting two major goals this year - goals he set 30 years ago, which include an arterial loop around the City, and the completion of the storm drain project. He reviewed goals in the following divisions: Airport, Transit, and Transportation.

PRESENTATION FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT:

Community Development Director Matt Loo advised his department includes Planning, Development, Building Inspections, and Golf. He advised that this year he is asking for less budget than last year. He advised changes have been implemented in the Golf Division with the hiring of two new personnel - Colby Cowan and Doug Roberts.

PRESENTATION FROM THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT:

Finance Director Phil Peterson reviewed recent changes made in personnel, and updated the City Council on the Departments new financial software and investments.

PRESENTATION FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT:

Fire Chief Robert Stoker updated the City Council on the Departments new fire engine, recruit academy, ISO survey, CPR classes, Five County Response Team, volunteers, and advised a new Reserve Standards Committee has been formed.

PRESENTATION FROM THE SUPPORT SERVICES DEPARTMENT:

Support Services Manager Marc Mortensen updated the City Council on the Departments personnel, back-up device, security, and network. He advised that he has asked for another fleet mechanic in the Fleet Division.

PRESENTATION FROM THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT:

City Attorney Shawn Guzman updated the City Council on Code Enforcement, Claims, possible formation of a Justice Court, and increases in the Departments workload, stating that staff files 1,000 cases a month.

The meeting then adjourned.
