Community Development Block Grant

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and provides federal funding to perform a variety of community development and housing activities in all states, qualifying counties, and in all “entitled” cities (those with a population of at least 50,000 people). The amount of money granted to a city is determined on an annual basis by a HUD formula

Fair Housing
The Fair Housing Act was enacted on April 11, 1968.  The Act prohibits discrimination in housing because of: race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status, or disability. For more information regarding this Act, please visit HUD's website here.

Fair housing complaints can be filed with the Utah Antidiscrimination and Labor Division here or with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development here.

Matrix-Code-Definitions

Matrix codes are used to indicate-but do not establish-activity eligibility. An activity must be eligible in accordance with the regulations at 24 CFR 570.201 – 570.207.  Grantees need to refer to the regulations to determine an activity's eligibility; the codes defined below are used in IDIS On-Line chiefly to categorize activities for reporting purposes. Note that the matrix code must also correlate with a national objective.  -  04-06-2021
