I was born in Mesa, Arizona, raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a proud resident of St. George for the past 28 years. I have a great love for the desert landscape and the people who reside in it. I have a bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University majoring in Sociology, minoring in Anthropology; Associates degree from Dixie College.
My husband Darrin and I own a commercial contracting business and have raised four children on an acre in Little Valley. I have a dog, a cat, a horse, a garden, a podcast addiction, and a garage full of bicycles. I enjoy cycling with my husband, hiking in our beautiful environment, collecting and promoting art, loving people and recognizing their inherent goodness, creating safe community spaces and volunteering for and promoting our local not-for-profit groups.
My experience includes:
2016-2019 St. George City Planning Commissioner
Local small business owner: L&L Mechanical Contractors
Co-founder of the St. George Bicycle Collective 501(c)3 community bike shop
2018-Present President of the Southern Utah Bicycle Alliance (SUBA) 501(c)3
Past Chair and Board member of St. George Art Around the Corner 501(c)3
Helped establish the Meet the Masters Art Program at a few local elementary schools
