Past Chair
Enmeshed in all-things arts from day one, Karman was born in Simi Valley, California, spending her formative years in Disneyland and Sandy, Utah before finding her true love, Ken. They lived in a charming ancestral bungalow in Sugarhouse where they laughed, danced, sang, performed, served on boards* and put together large-scale events. *
Packing up their 1-pink and 1-blue players, the game of Life finally brought them to their true home in stunning St. George in the year 2000. The planning and performing continued and their little Princess and Prince grew up with silliness, a lot of music, a little drama, community service*, a Disney obsession and a Lhasa named Arthur.
Karman graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Human Communication. As Assistant Dean of Professional Arts at Utah Tech University, her daily goal is to uplift and inspire, supporting the arts through professional and civic service. *
And smiling. Smiling’s her favorite.
She is still obsessed with Disneyland and can’t wait to share the magic with her three adorably precious grandbabies.
