Junior Ranger Family Night

Learn more about the great outdoors and the adventures that are available in Southern Utah by visiting and participating in Junior Ranger Family Night at the Tonaquint Nature Center. From 5:30-7:30 pm the Ranger Stations will be open.

Afterwards there will be a concert at Tonaquint Park by Fossil & Flower until 8:30 pm. Come check out the night sky with the St. George Astronomy Club at the Star Party in the Park after the concert. Members of the club with be setting up their telescopes for you to come get an up close view of the sky. You don't want to miss it! 

Participating agencies (BLM, Sand Hollow State Park, Grand Canyon- Parashant National Monument, etc.) will have fun and interesting stations for families to learn from or participate in a quick activity.

KIDS--Visit at least 4 stations, complete an activity, get your "passport" marked off and you earn a hot dog, bag of chips and a bottle of water!

Adults---the hot dog snack combo is only $5 per person. (Cash only)

No. You are still able to come participate but we prefer you to register beforehand to ensure we get the correct amount of hot dogs for the event. 

No. This event is set up in an open house style. Come and go when is best for you and your family.

No. Pre-registration for the event is encouraged so we have an idea of how many hotdogs to prepare.

The program is geared toward youth 12 & under; however make this FREE community event open for everyone of all ages. Come out and explore what outdoor activities and places there are in Southern Utah.

Yes, there will be a star/moon party if the weather permits.

Open house style event. Children older than 15 and adults do not need to register for the event.
