Backflow Devices and Assemblies Backflow Devices and Assemblies On Sept. 1st, 1997, St. George City adopted an ordinance prescribing control of cross connections in plumbing fixtures to assure water system safety; requiring installation of protective devices; providing for the inspection and testing of mechanical devices and assemblies used for that purpose by a certified technician; and prescribing a penalty for noncompliance.
