The Backflow Program

On Sept. 1st, 1997, St. George City adopted an ordinance prescribing control of cross connections in plumbing fixtures to assure water system safety; requiring installation of protective devices; providing for the inspection and testing of mechanical devices and assemblies used for that purpose by a certified technician; and prescribing a penalty for noncompliance. The following are the actual ordinances that were adopted by the State of Utah and the City of St. George.
