5:00 a.m.

only things that grow!

- Clean you driveway, patio and sidewalks with a broom instead of a
hose

noise in toilet, etc.
- Consider installing water efficient plumbing fixtures.
- Think about water and ways you and your family can manager it better.
Bathroom tips
Flush only necessary, and don't use the toilet as a trash can
Replace old fixtures with new 1.6 gallon per flush models.
If your shower head is more than 5 years old. switch to a high efficiency
showerhead that uses no more than 2.5 gallons per minute.
Take shorter showers. Kitchen tips
Hand wash dishes by filling the sink for washing and another for rinsing
dishes.
Fill the sink or dishpan to wash vegetables and other foods instead of rinsing
them.
Keep a jug of drinking water in the refrigerator instead of running tap
water until cold. Check and repair leaks in pipes,
hoses, faucets and couplings. Outside leaks can be extremely wasteful,
especially when they occur in your main water line
Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks
Don't leave water hoses running carelessly. Use a shut-off nozzle or
timer.
