Comment:
The impact fees on new development need to be tripled or more. Give us old timers a break. The new people will use the new infrastructure hence they should pay for it.
Response
The St. George City Council completed a very exhaustive re-evaluation of all impact fees last year. In particular, the transportation impact fees required significant adjustments. Commercial fees were increased from $20 to $157.51 per average daily trip. This resulted in a revenue increase of several million dollars per year. These funds are being used to finance improvements on Red Hills Parkway, Dixie Drive, Brigham Road, River Road and new traffic signals.
