Swimming Classes - American Red Cross Certification Courses
( note: there is a $10.00 registration fee which is non-refundable )

Course Information
Lifeguard Course You must be at least 15 years old to attend this class.
You must be pre-registered, and pass a pre-test.
Dates: November 8th -20th
Times: 5:00pm -8:00pm Mon-Thurs *
Cost: $120.00 + $10.00 registration fee (non-refundable)

Water Aerobics
Sand Hollow Aquatics Center has an aqua aerobics program to help you get into shape! Class abilities range from low intensity to high intensity. Classes are drop in, so no registration is necessary. Knowing how to swim is not a prerequisite for participation in any aqua aerobics class.

Fees:
The fees are regular admission rates for individual classes:
Adult resident-$4.00, Adult non-resident-$6.00.
Or you can purchase a 20 punch pass: resident $50.00,non-resident $60.00

Course Description
Arthritis Water Fitness:
(shallow water class)
This class is designed to promote healing. This class will focus on maintaining proper joint alignment and good body mechanics, while reducing joint stress, thru active movement and stretching. Please come and join us and be energized for the rest of your day.
Noodle Power:
(shallow or deep water class)
A functional way to use an everyday water toy to tone, strengthen, stretch and get a powerful aerobic workout. The noodle is used to stabilize, provide buoyancy and add resistance to enhance the workout. This class is adaptable to all fitness levels.
Aqua Interval:
(shallow water class)
Energize yourself with this invigorating workout! This shallow water class focuses on aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. You will experience "harder" bouts of exercise interspersed with "easier" bouts. All fitness levels welcome, work at your own pace.
Liquid Moves:
(shallow water class)
Rejuvenate yourself while adding muscular strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance through liquid moves. Toning energizes for upper and lower body and various water waking moves will be included in this class. Come and enjoy this new and effective, lower intensity workout.
The Works:
(shallow water class)
try a little of everything in this class...power moves, shallow end aerobics, no impact movement and toning exercises. These movements will stimulate every muscle in your body and increase energy/quality to your life. Each class ends with a gentle cool down and stretch.
Deep Impact:
(deep water class)
Get ready to pump hard and breath hard. This class is for all those skeptics that are not sure you can get a HARD workout with water aerobics. It will challenge every muscle group and provide an intense cardiovascular workout. Buoyancy belts or cuffs and webbed gloves will be used to increase the intensity of the workout.
