GUIDELINES FOR JACOB HAMBLIN

It is your responsibility to find a replacement if you are unable to fulfill your assignment, also to notify Gaylord Monson at 628-7673 of your replacement. If you are unable to reach Gaylord leave word with Angie Mason at the St. George Art Museum, 634-5942, ext. 12. The Day Captains must know the changes before hand I

Your costume consists of a leather hat, buckskin coat, and walking stick. These are stored in the Social Hall at the top of the stairs.

Stay in character. Speak in first person as the historical person and begin with the time period indicated in your script. Remember, we are telling ST. GEORGE HISTORY, not crossing the plains or other things.

If possible memorize your script do not add any other dialogue other than what is written. Keep your presentation to the allotted 12-15 minute time limit. The tour guide will signal you by holding up 2 fingers when you have two minutes remaining. She has been instructed to interrupt your presentation if you go overtime. We have received complaints that tours took so long that tour groups had to cancel other scheduled events for the day and missed lunches. Honor your time commitment and honor the tour guides notification of time.

Let your acting skills shine and make your character come ALIVE have fun. Involve the people, especially children.
