The Sand Hollow Aquatic Center lies in St. George property but is bordered by the City of Santa Clara and Ivins City. These cities and the Washington County School District each contributed funds to help construct the center. The center itself is owned and operated by the City of St. George and is open to the general public. The facility includes a 25m by 25 yd competition and diving pool and a 5,800 s.f. leisure pool. The leisure pool has a zero depth entry area, interactive children's water fun toys, a water walk and water slides. Various sprays and moving water provide the ultimate aquatic experience for the entire family.
SHAC Safety
- Children under six (6) must be accompanied in the water by an adult (18 or older).
- SWIMSUITS ONLY. No levis or jeans allowed.
- Flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved and are allowed only at pool management's discretion.
- Diving is permitted only in designated areas.
- Running and horseplay are not tolerated.
- No one over the age of five (5) is allowed in the opposite gender locker room.
- Snug plastic pants under bathing suits are required for children wearing diapers.
The lifeguards are in control of the pool area. They reserve the right to add rules that may be needed to maintain the health and safety of all swimmers.
