Sealed bids will be received for the construction of Main Street Drainage Improvements – Phase II, 600 South to I-
15, Inquiry No. 12-0003. Bids must be submitted by Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 2:00 PM, to the City of St. George, Purchasing Department, at 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, 84770. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in the City Council Chambers. Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to City of St. George, Attn: Connie Hood, CPPO, Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Department, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah
84770. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside Main Street Drainage
Improvements – Phase II, 600 South to I-15, Inquiry No. 12-0003.

A mandatory site visit and pre-bid conference for Bidders will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, 2:00 PM at the Washington County School District Technology Department at 934 South 100 East, in St. George, Utah. The City may hold an additional pre-bid conference at its discretion.

This project includes all labor, materials, transportation, and services to install a storm drain outfall from near the intersection with Main Street and 600 South to the north side of Interstate 15, including the installation of approximately
4,400 linear feet of storm drain pipe, placement of 112,000 square feet of asphalt, installation of 580 linear feet of sewer line, 3,500 linear feet of irrigation line, and landscaping.

Copies of the Contract Documents must be obtained from the office of Horrocks Engineers, 285 West Tabernacle Street, Suite 300, St. George, Utah, (435) 986-7888. A fee of $75.00 is required for hard copies of each set. Electronic copies are available for a reduced fee of $20.00 per set. All Bidders who submit a bid are required to purchase a set of the Contract Documents from Horrocks Engineers.

The 100% performance – labor and materials bond will be required on this project. Every Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, naming the City of St. George as oblige, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George.
As required by St. George City Code 1-10B-14 a signed certificate of legal work status must accompany the Bid. City of St. George reserves the right to reject any, or all bids, or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid, in the
interest of the City.
