Sealed bids will be received for the construction of Erosion Repair Projects Phase 2, Inquiry No. 11-0016. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 PM MDST on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, to the City of St. George, Purchasing Department, at 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, 84770. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in the City Council Chambers. Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to City of St. George, Attn: Connie Hood, CPPO, Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Department, 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah 84770. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside Erosion Repair Projects Phase 2, Inquiry No. 11-0016.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid site visit on Thursday, November 17, 2011, 2:00 PM MDST at 368 N Lost Creek Dr., St. George, Utah. A second pre-bid visit will be scheduled if the City determines it is necessary. Technical questions regarding the Bidding Documents shall be directed to Rick Rosenberg, Project Manager, Rosenberg Associates, 352 East Riverside Drive, Suite A-2, St. George, Utah, 84790, (435) 673-8586, rickr@racivil.com.
The Bid includes furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, and services to install erosion protection and replace damaged infrastructure along the Santa Clara River in eight different locations between the Olive Grove Subdivision and Valley View Drive.
Copies of the Contract Documents must be obtained from the City of St. George Purchasing Department, 175 East 200 North St. George, Utah 84770. A fee of $150.00 is required for hard copies of each set. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Engineer for a fee of $50.00 per set. Contact Rosenberg Associates at (435) 673-8586 for electronic download information. All Bidders who submit a bid are required to purchase a set of the Contract Documents.

The 100% performance – labor and materials bond will be required on this project. Every Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, naming the City of St. George as oblige, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George. As required by St. George City Code 1-10B-14 a signed certificate of legal work status must accompany the BID.
City of St. George reserves the right to reject any, or all bids, or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid, in the interest of the City.
