RECEIPT OF BID PROPOSALS: The City of St. George Purchas�ing Department will accept sealed bid proposals for the ST. GEORGE BANDED HILLS DRIVE EXTENDED PROJECT. The project includes the construction of asphalt paved roads, storm drain, communication trench, electrical trench and a joint utility trench.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents will be available Monday, January 18, 2010 and may be examined at the office of Creamer and Noble Engineers, Inc., 435 East Tabernacle, Suite 202, St. George, UT 84770, or at the office of the St. George City Public Works Department. Electronic copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained only at the offices of Creamer and Noble, Inc., upon payment of a fee of $25.00 per set, no part of which is refundable. Paper copies of the plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained only at the offices of Creamer and Noble, Inc., upon payment of a fee of $100.00 per set, no part of which is refundable.
PRE-BID MEETING: A Pre-Bid meeting for prospective bidders will take place on February 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the office of Creamer & Noble Engineers located at 435 East Tabernacle Street, Suite 202, St. George, UT.
All bids shall be submitted to the St. George City Purchas�ing Department, Attn. Connie R. Hood, CPPB, 175 East 200 North, St. George, UT 84770, by no later than 1:30 p.m. on February 10, 2010 AND WILL BE PUBLICLY OPENED AND READ ALOUD AT 2:00 p.m. at the St. George City Council Chambers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND OPENING: No proposal will be con�sidered from a contractor who does not have a valid Business and Contractor's License, nor will any proposal be considered which is not properly signed. Any proposal received after the bidding time of the above specified opening date will be returned unopened.
PROPOSAL, PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT GUARANTIES: All propos�als submitted must be accompanied by a bid bond or guaran�tee of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid and the success�ful bidder must also furnish a performance and payment bond of 100% of the contract price within 5 working days after the acceptance of his/her bid.
OWNER'S RIGHT RESERVED: The City of St. George reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any irregularity in the bid.
WAGE RATES: Federal Wage Rates are NOT a requirement for this project.
