Child Abuse Homicide

Date: 07-23-08
Time: Approx 8:00 PM
Location: 113 North 2710 East, Saint George, Utah.

On the above date and time officers responded to a 911 call of a non-breathing child.

Officers found a 4 month old infant not breathing and started CPR until relieved by medical personnel. The infant was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center and then life flighted to Primary Children’s Medical Center in critical condition. At a later time the infant was pronounced deceased.

The step father of the infant (Gregory Fullerton) was interviewed by detectives and subsequently arrested and booked at the Washington County Jail. The charge at booking time was 2nd degree felony child abuse. At a later time the infant was pronounced deceased. The Washington County Attorney’s office is now reviewing the case and will amend the charge to child abuse homicide.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. There is no other information available at this time.
