March 27, 2008 - Seizure of Meth Labs
PRESS RELEASE WASHINGTON COUNTY DRUG/GANG TASK FORCE

The Washington County Drug Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Agents served three search warrants that resulted in the seizure of three clandestine meth lab operations in Washington County. The search warrants were served over a 24 hour period beginning on March 26th at around 10:00 am. The search warrants resulted in the seizure of meth lab equipment and precursor chemicals at each location.
A hazardous waste disposal contractor was utilized to dispose items from each location. Clandestine labs and those items associated with them pose such a safety and contamination threat that most items cannot be stored in normal law enforcement evidence facilities, therefore, items and chemicals are stored or disposed by a hazardous materials contractor.
Those who were involved in the investigation were: Washington County Drug Task Force DEA St. George SWAT Washington County SWAT St George Fire Department Santa Clara Public Safety Fire and Police Dixie Ambulance
One of the locations within the City of St. George was at 2958 S Palmetto Circle. Suspect, David Acampora, a 44 year old male, was arrested for Possessing clandestine lab equipment, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, interfering with arrest.
Tabitha Hamill, a 24 year old female, was arrested after Washington County SWAT made entry into the home she was staying in at 2485 Arch Circle in Santa Clara. Numerous articles and chemicals suspected to be related to the use and production of methamphetamine were located in the residence. Hamill was arrested for possessing clandestine lab precursor chemicals, possession of methamphetamine and other related charges.
This case is still under investigation and additional arrests are expected.
