September 22, 2009 - Mormon Handicraft Robbery

PRESS RELEASE

RE: Robbery at Mormon Handicraft
783 South Bluff Street.
DATE: SEPTEMBER 21ST 2009

On 9-21-09 at 12:50 pm, officers responded to the Mormon Handicraft (783 South Bluff Street) on a reported robbery.
A white male suspect described as being in his 60’s wearing a dark colored baseball cap, yellow polo shirt and khaki shorts entered the business brandished a handgun and demanded money from the employee. An undisclosed amount of money was taken by the suspect. See Related Photo.

Dixie High and middle schools were put in “lockdown” as a precaution. Tonaquint Elementary did a voluntary lockdown as a precaution. The lockdown was later lifted, and school ended at the normal times. The suspect has not been located at this time.
