March 16, 2009  -  Stabbing
ST. GEORGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

INCIDENT: Stabbing at 639 E 700 S
DATE: 1445 Hours on March 15, 2009

The St. George Police responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex located at 639 E 700 S on March 15, 2009.

When officers arrived on scene they located a 48 year old male with multiple stab wounds. At the same location, they also located 57 year old Edward Kennedy. The victim was given medical treatment by Ambulance personnel and transported to IHC-River Road.

The victim and Mr. Kennedy were roommates. After both men became intoxicated, they began to argue. The argument then moved outside and became physical. During this fighting, Mr. Kennedy pulled out a small knife and stabbed the victim several times in the torso.

Mr. Kennedy was detained on scene and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Assault. He was arrested and booked without further incident.
