January 28, 2009 - Retail Theft Suspect
On January 27, 2009 at 1600 hours, Officers were dispatched to a retail theft at Lin’s Market located at 1930 W Sunset Blvd. It was reported that a male (see picture attached) took a bottle of cough medicine, beer, and chips and entered the store restroom. When the suspect left the restroom, he placed the open beer and chips back on a shelf and exited the store.
A Lin’s Loss Prevention employee contacted this suspect in the parking lot and asked him to go back inside Lin’s to be detained for the retail theft. The suspect then assaulted the store employee and fled the scene. The employee received injuries that required medical treatment.
The suspect has not been located and the St. George Police Department is looking for the public’s help to identify him. If anyone knows the identification of this suspect, please contact the police at 627-4300 or through our TIP line at 627-4373.
