CAT Team Members
Sergeant Tyler Cowan
tyler.cowan@sgcity.org

Sgt. Cowan currently serves as a Patrol Sergeant. He started his law enforcement career in 1992 in the Patrol Division as a patrol officer. Other assignments include: Field Training Officer, Motorcycle Officer and Supervisor, Gang Officer, and was one of the original four officers that started the Bicycle Unit in 1997. Sgt. Cowan is a Firearms Instructor for the police department and the Police Academy, Taser Instructor, and is on the SWAT team. He serves in the Utah Army National Guard’s 2/222 FA (Triple Deuce) and was deployed for Operation Noble Eagle and Iraqi Freedom.

Officer Dunbar has been with the St George Police Department for 3 years.
Prior to joining the St George Police Department Ofc Dunbar served in the US Marine Corps Reserves for 8 years. Ofc Dunbar is a Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Police Department, and has recently been selected as a new member of the SWAT team. Ofc Dunbar also is currently assigned as a School Resource Officer for Millcreek high school.

Police Officer Level 3 Spencer Holmes

Officer Holmes has been an employee of the St. George Police Dept since 2005. He is a police training officer and a department fitness instructor. He is a POST instructor for the police academy. He is a CIT Officer and is on the Critical Incident Stress Management Team. He is on the Chief's Advisory Council and is also assigned as a full-time Bike Patrol Officer. Officer Holmes is a valuable asset to the St. George Police Department.

Officer Huish has been a police officer since 2007. His current assignment is in the patrol division.
Police Officer Level 2 Matt Schuman

Officer Schuman has been employed by the St. George Police Department since July 2005. His current assignment is Mountain Bike Patrol and is assigned to the CAT 6 & 8 teams. He is fluent in Spanish which is a great asset to the department. Officer Schuman is a valuable member to our police department.

Officer Orr has been with the St. George Police Department since October
1996. Officer Orr is currently a Detective in the Special Enforcement Division
and is assigned to Pine View High School.

Officer Orr has worked in Patrol, has been a Field Training Officer and has
worked in the Drug Court program. He was one of the departments first
two Motorcycle Officers. Officer Orr is currently an instructor for Emergency
Vehicle Operation.
