C.A.T. Team 2/4 Projects Sex Offender Registry Officer Wade Johnson has been working on identifying the sex offenders living in the CAT 2 and CAT 4 boundaries. If they fail to register their change of address Officer Johnson follows up with them and take appropriate action. He is also assigned the responsibility of meeting with AP&P and new parolees so Officers will have up to date information on who is being released and where they will be living.
Industrial Area The industrial area of St. George has become one of the areas most in need of attention. Numerous parking and zoning violations occur every day. Officers are trying to work with the businesses to make the area a cleaner safer place to work and travel.
Transients Officer Anthony Wilcox is working with other departments in the city to clean up some of the area of town where transients frequent. These areas become cluttered and full of trash and are a nuisance to the city. We want St. George to be a clean and safe place to be.
ATVs An unfortunate part of the growth of the city is the old days of people being able to ride an ATV up the street or on a private lot are gone. The number of vehicles on the street and the amount of new housing going in are making it dangerous for people to ride ATVs inside the city. Officers are working to educate and explain the need for the change to the people who live in that area.
