The Park Planning Division provides long-range planning and implementation of new parks, regional trails, other open-space recreational facilities, and major upgrades to existing parks and trails. Park Planning updates the City's Parks and Trails Master Plan and prepares long-term capital budgets.

Virgin River Trail South

The city was awarded the Utah State Parks and Recreation Non-Motorized Trail Grant to help fund this segment of trail. The trail will continue west along the Virgin River from where the trail currently ends. This segment of trail is located in the SunRiver area of the city. The trail length is half a mile.
