Tamarisk Drive Beautification Project
- Tamarisk Drive/River Road Intersection Landscaping
This project was a joint effort between the local neighborhood and the City of St. George. The overall goal was to create a sustainable landscaped area on the west corner of Tamarisk Drive and River Road. The neighborhood collected money to help fund this project. Design and project management was completed by the City’s Park Planning Division. Clearing and grading of the area as well as the placement of the boulders, rock, and irrigation was completed by the City’s Parks Division. Dixie Escalante is donating the power for the irrigation controller. On the morning of October 24, 2009 as part of the National “Make a Difference Day” the neighborhood rallied together to install 23 trees and 125 shrubs.
