State of the City 2024
St. George Mayor Michele Randall, along with City Manager John Willis, will combine to deliver State of the City 2024: Building for the Future, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Dixie Convention Center’s Garden Room. There is no charge to attend the event and light refreshments will be available.
The State of the City will be broadcast live on the Community Education Channel’s YouTube page, as well as on TDS Channel 108. The City’s Facebook page will also carry the live feed.
“Every year I look forward to this opportunity to connect with all those who live and work in St. George to share all the great things we are doing as a city — and what we have planned,” Randall said. “For the third year in a row we decided to couple the State of the City with the Dixie Regional Transportation Expo, which is just down the hall. You can attend both events in one location and learn so much about St. George.”
Mayor Randall and her team will discuss the City of St. George’s accomplishments in 2023 and give a sneak peek on plans for 2024 and beyond as they pertain to:
- Growth and Infrastructure
- Water
- Quality of Life
- Public Safety
- Transportation
Within those subjects, Randall will announce the dates and sites for the three 2024 Neighborhood Open Houses; discuss the passage of the Trails, Parks and Recreation General Obligation Bond and what that means for future projects; show the first look at a special “What’s Happening in Southern Utah” by Macrae Heppler; and unveil the latest installment of the “Headband Bandit” saga leading up to the Cops and Robbers 5K race on May 18.
