With the large amount of construction and open trenchs in our local area, St. George Fire Department has began to train for trench rescue. These are specialize classes which teachs firefighters how to operate safely around and in collapse trenchs. Many secondary collapse have injuried or killed the rescuers, while trying to save the victim at a trench rescue. Trench rescue training includes three levels of certification; awareness, operations and technician.
