Local Paleontology Tours

For a great hands-on activity for business retreats, family reunions and group gatherings we offer an exciting local tour offered by the Dinosaur Discovery Site. It includes working an actual bone bed comprised mostly of fossil fish, and on occasion you may find dinosaur remains!

Your tour guide will be city paleontologist Andrew Milner, museum staff, and volunteers who work closely with the museum.

Ages: 12 to adult only
Minimum group size: 5 individuals
Maximum group size: 20 individuals

Reservations must be made in advance. Tours are available during the following months only: March, April, October and November.

Please inquire regarding prices of various tours.

Optional box lunch may be arranged for each participant for one or both days. Lunch would include a sandwich, chips and a cookie. Prices will vary between $6.00- $8.00 per person, per day.

Please note:
Work will be strenuous and dirty, be prepared to be outside all day. Dress and hydrate accordingly. Sunscreen, hats, clothes that protect from harmful UV rays are required.

* Not all areas of tour are ADA accessible

* All tours may be cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions and refunds are processed due to any cancelled tours due to weather only.
