This notice is for residents of the City Of St.George to have the opportunity to comment on the draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2008-09 Action Plan (FY 2008-09 begins on July 1, 2008 and ends on June 30, 2009). The FY 2008-09 Action Plan outlines activities to be undertaken to address community development, economic development, housing and homeless needs listed in the five-year Consolidated Plan adopted by the City Council in August 2004. This Action Plan is the fifth year of the Consolidated Plan. It identifies a total of $474,137 in entitlement Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and the projected use of those funds in FY 2008-09. A description of the proposed activities to be undertaken next fiscal year by the City to meet Consolidated Plan priorities are listed below:



The comment period for the 2008-09 Annual Action Plan begins on April 2, 2008 and ends Thursday, May 1, 2008. A public hearing is scheduled for May 1, 2008 at a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting at 5:00 p.m. City Council’s final approval of the Annual Action Plan is scheduled for the same Council meeting after the public hearing is closed.

The Annual Action Plan is available online on the City’s website www.sgcity.org/commdev. Copies of the Annual Action Plan will also be available at the City of St. George, Community Development Department located at 175 E. 200 North in St. George.
