This Spring the Mayor=s biannual Debris-Free Dixie Day for the City of St. George will be held on Saturday, March 24, from 7:00 a.m. to noon. Mayor McArthur is challenging neighborhoods and community groups to organize and participate in clean-up projects twice a year.

There will be dumpsters in the following locations for convenience:

Downtown
Sunbowl Parking lot (2),
300 East 100 South

Bloomington
Bloomington Park (2)

Bloomington Hills
Bloomington Hills Drive/Tamarisk (2)

Dixie Downs
Dixie Drive and Sunset Boulevard (1)
2000 North Snow Canyon Parkway (2)

Middleton
Middleton Park (1)

Panorama
2450 East Park (1)

Please do not dump tires or petroleum products. NO COMMERCIAL dumping is permitted in these dumpsters. If you have a refrigerator or freezer to be picked up, call Allied Waste at 628-2821. There is a $48 charge to drain the Freon (per federal regulation).

Residents who need help hauling large or odd shaped items may call or e-mail Miriam Palma at 627-4050, mpalma@sgcity.org , Monday, March 19 to Saturday, March 24, to make an appointment for pickup. Please have items on the curb and they will be picked up by crews on Saturday, March 24, starting at 7:00 a.m.

If you decide to organize a group to work on a service project in your area, the St. George Streets Division can provide you with garbage bags. To arrange this, call 627-4020 prior to Debris-Free Dixie Day.



 
St. George Reuse Center

The reuse center is open on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


There is no charge for dumping green waste material at this facility. The Reuse Center cannot accept palm fronds, oleander or similar stringy material (call 703-0104 if you have questions).
