WORK MEETING
MARCH 30, 2000, 4:00 P.M.

FIELD TRIP TO SHELDON JOHNSON?S PROPERTY ALONG VIRGIN RIVER:
A field trip was taken to Sheldon Johnson?s property located along the Virgin River south of Riverside Drive and east of the East Black Ridge to view dinosaur tracks.
FIELD TRIP TO PROPERTY IN BLOOMINGTON:
A field trip was taken to property which is the subject of a zone change request located north of Bloomington Country Club No. 7 between Kolob Drive and Los Padres Drive in the Bloomington area.
HEART ASSOCIATION WALK:
Mayor McArthur advised he was contacted by Ruth Ann Adams who would like the City to form a team for the Heart Association Walk. Mayor McArthur invited Councilmember Allen to form this team.
ATKINVILLE INTERCHANGE COMMITTEE:
Mayor McArthur advised he thought it would be a good idea to form an interchange committee for the Atkinville Interchange to try and move the project along sooner than currently scheduled.
Councilmember Gardner inquired if the committee would serve a legitimate function.
City Manager Gary Esplin advised UDOT is currently performing studies and has the project scheduled, however, he will be meeting with UDOT representatives on April 10 and will ask them if formation of a committee might move the project along.
LEGACY 2000 PROJECTS:
Public Information Office Marc Mortensen presented plans for three Legacy 2000 projects to be completed by the Bloomington Hills Stake. The beautification projects are (1) landscaping the pump station at River Road and Brigham Road at a cost of $7,200; (2) landscaping along Bloomington Hills Drive at a cost of $12,500; and (3) tree planting in the Bloomington Hills North Park at a cost of $5,000. It was the consensus of the City Council to approve these projects and authorize payment.
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST FOR ROCK CRUSHER IN STONECLIFF AREA:
Councilmember Isom encouraged City Councilmembers to visit the site of a proposed rock crusher in the Stonecliff area. This item is scheduled on the City Council agenda of April 6.
ADJOURN TO EXECUTIVE SESSION:
A motion to adjourn to an executive session to discuss a land purchase and legal issues was made by Councilmember Whatcott. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Allen, and all voted aye.
RECONVENE AND ADJOURN:
A motion to reconvene and adjourn was made by Councilmember Gardner. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Allen, and all voted aye.
