Gaell Lindstrom's Private Watercolors
Show available:
January 13, 2007 through
March 24, 2007
Gaell Lindstrom was born in Salt Lake City and received art degrees from the University of Utah and the California College of Arts and Crafts. He retired much admired from Utah State University after 30 years of service in the art department. Following that he and his wife Marilyn moved south to Apple Valley, then to St. George. His work as a teacher continues in dialogues, classes, and through examination of his work. His naturalistic paintings exhibit both warmth and stillness. He says that he has been exploring watercolor throughout his career, but feels there is still much to be done. “The inner core of a subject is sought for but seldom achieved.” His subject matter has come from the Southwest, Mexico, and China.
