Class Descriptions

R.I.P.P.E.D.
When talking about fitness, it seems like EVERYONE today wants to get R.I.P.P.E.D.! Now with our highly anticipated new fitness class you can get there. Imagine how fun and exciting it is going to be to lose pounds and inches, increase metabolism, sculpt sexy lean muscles, improve cardio vascular performance, feel energy and strength go through the roof, and have a blast doing it all at the "One Stop Body Shock"! Come and find out what R.I.P.P.E.D. will mean to you!!

Cardio Circuit
Ultimate one hour full body workout that challenges participants to push their limits. Instructors will use a wide variety of cardio circuits including step, hi-lo, kick box, Fitball, BOSU and sport drills to strengthen your heart and lungs while burning high fat calories. Cardio Circuit will also incorporate multiple strength techniques to add a whole new dimension to your work out. The variety will keep you guessing and having a blast. All levels of fitness…options provided!! (Aerobic Room)

Cycle Power
This class incorporates 35 minutes of spin along with 35 minutes of upper and abdominal strength workouts. During this 70–minute workout, participants will pedal through intervals, travel up and down imaginary hills and valleys and also complete a full body workout by strengthening their upper and abdominal muscles. (Aerobic Room)

Cycling 101
This one hour cycling class creates a stronger cardiovascular system and burns twice as many calories as a regular aerobic class. No experience is necessary but the instructor will motivate you to give it your all. The class revolves around various cycling profiles including higher intensity training. Work at your own level and enjoy the energy of the up-beat music and fellow cyclists. (Aerobic Room)

Forever Fit

Combine cardio and muscle toning into a fun workout by learning how to increase your muscle strength, flexibility daily functional skills. This multi-level class is designed around a variety of equipment including elastic tubing, exercise balls, folding chairs, free weights and weight machines. This class is ideal for older adults that are looking to get into shape or wanting to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle regardless to his/her fitness ability. This program is co-sponsored by Intermountain Healthcare and the St. George Recreation Center.

Pilates
A total body workout that emphasizes body alignment and correct breathing in order to build strength evenly throughout the body. This class enhances muscular balance and improves posture, which reduces risk of injury in everyday activities. (Aerobic Room)

Endurance & Strength
Increase your strengthen and range of motion with this 1-hour workout. A variety of equipment will be utilized to continue challenging your muscles and increasing your flexibility. More strength results in higher metabolism and more length results in fewer injuries. (Aerobic Room)

Yoga
This class is based on an ancient form of movement that promotes balance, flexibility, strength and relaxation through various postures and breathing techniques. Yoga is also beneficial for better circulation and an overall sense of well being. Come enjoy and relax! (Aerobic Room)

Zumba
Dance group exercise is back! Zumba is a dance-aerobics workout that uses footwork and body movements from flamenco and other dances with Latin flair and rhythms. This cardio-based workout is designed as a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness class for all ages and levels to enjoy. Zumba features sculpting exercises to tone the entire body. No experience is necessary to enjoy Zumba. (Aerobic Room)
